Terms of use

The rules for using IQGov, in plain English.

Last updated 1 October 2026

1. Using the site

You may read, link to and share IQGov stories. Quoting a short passage with a link back is welcome; republishing whole stories needs our written permission.

2. Our journalism

Stories are researched with AI agents, checked against their sources and approved by an editor, as described in our editorial standards. Every fact links to its source. We correct errors openly; tell us through the contact form. Nothing on the site is legal, financial or procurement advice.

3. Photos and data

Photos come from Wikimedia Commons and Pexels under the licences credited beneath each one and listed on the about page; those licences, not these terms, govern their reuse. Rankings use the UN E-Government Development Index and other public datasets, credited where they appear.

4. Subscriptions

When paid plans are open, prices and billing periods are shown before you pay. You can cancel at any time from your account; access continues to the end of the period you paid for. Payments are processed by Stripe.

5. Your contributions

When you send us a tip or message, you confirm you are allowed to share it. We protect sources and will not name you without your consent.

6. Liability

We work hard to be accurate but provide the site as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions made on the basis of what we publish.

7. Contact
